REVIEW OF THE ASUS MATRIX HD7970 PLATINUM 3GB
Good day everyone! First of all, I would like to thank ASUS and also Sanko for giving me this opportunity to make a review for such a wonderful card rclxm9.gif . Besides, this is also my first time making a review for hardware so if any mistake arised, please forgive me . tongue.gif

As we known, many manufacturers had release their own HD7970 cards since AMD released their HD7970 in the market. But recently, ASUS had released the most powerful HD7970 graphic card between all of the other competitors which is MATRIX HD7970 PLATINUM 3GB. The part code is MATRIX-HD7970-P-3GD5! This card has the AMD Radeon HD 7970 'Tahiti' GPU core clocked at 1100 MHz and the 3GB of GDDR5 RAM is clocked at 1650 MHz (6600 MHz effective),it beats the MSI 7970 Lightning completely. By the way, ASUS had threw out the reference design of HD7970 from the window and made a really big change on this card. Moreover, this card had three slots with massive cooling capacity and keeps the temperature of this card below 70 degree celcius. How cool it is huh? shocking.gif Your room won't be getting hot and hotter if you own this card rclxms.gif .

There's more though, the HD7970 Matrix Platinum comes with 2x DVI outputs as well as with 4x DisplayPort connectors. This design allows for up to six displays to be connected in Eyefinity mode. rolleyes.gif This best requires 2x8 power connector but with very low power consumption.

Let's stop the chit chat and look forward into the UNBOXING photos! icon_rolleyes.gif

THE MOST INTERESTING PART OF THIS CARD!! The side panel of this card, with a word 'MATRIX' engraved. The 'MATRIX' got 5 different color of LED indicators which separate the level of this beast with each colour. Will explain about it later! Stay tuned!cool.gif

Three slotted as we mentioned just now. It's really huge and occupy lot of spaces. BUT, who cares? Since it comes with 2x DVI port and 4x Display port and huge heatsink to perform better cooling capacity!

Look at this awesome features. A little red button which can boost the 2x 100mm fans on the shroud to 100% speed once you pressed it. Besides, there you can see 3 circle black button with +, - and safe mode. The + and - buttons allow you to adjust the voltage of the card manually while safe mode is to prevent you to short circuit the card. Of course it's not gonna help if you drooled on the cardsweat.gif
