Overwrite 882 firmware, Overwrite 882 firmware from Time

$

My D-Link DIR-882 is purchased thru Time Broadband.
They are using their customized firmware and version is 3.5.8TT.
At the back of the device I see hardware version R1.

I understand if i upgrade or over-write the firmware it will void my warranty. Knowing this, I would would like to change it to d-link official firmware, is that possible?

Can anyone advice or have done it?

Here’s what the remote control does. It’s a great add-on that you can place somewhere nearby instead of reaching up to the A129 to press on the emergency record button.

Final thoughts
The A129 Duo IR is a great option for those driving a taxi, Uber, etc.

Using the IR cam as a rear cam, the Auto mode will have the infrared LED lights reflecting on the windscreen with a purple hue in the center. Better to use the IR Color mode if want to use the IR cam as a rear cam.

Found a bug while changing the IR mode from Mono/IR Color mode to Auto mode, it will remain in Mono/IR Color mode until the A129 has restarted then will be in Auto mode.

TT Racing Royal Gaming Chair Review

I have been using this gaming chair for 6 months and here's my review!

I sat around 4-12 per day due to gaming and I'm a programmer, so i seat quite a lot of hour.

but is a gaming chair so it should expect long hour seating.

I am currently 95KG, at the site itself, it claims it supports up to 150KG.

At the start, the chair feels really awesome then lumbar support feels good and the seating is nice too.

Day3- the chair leather the seat and the back (where you laid back) leather stretched, which doesn't really bother me.

Week 1- i feel like the lumbar support started to sink in or less dense than before, now i don't even use the lumbar anymore because is hurting my back if the lumbar sink in fully.

Month 3- the seat also started to sink in and become thinner/less dense but it still recovers it shape after i leave my seat for a while.

Currently- the seat are around 3-4cm thick, completely sink in and the armrest is wobbly.

Purchase experience , you can skip this part

I know things does worn out eventually and nothing last forever, but is only 6 month in and is RM1000 chair and also is local manufacture ( support local product yay ).

But somehow i feel cheated in a way , all my friend ask me to buy secret lab ( most of my frd is from SG ). so they strongly suggest it , but more expensive around RM400 (during CNY sales).

So i decide and buy it TTracing and the review is nice. First of all i bought the 799 , but i was too thicc *ahem* no fat shame. so i pm their facebook if they can do anything for me,

they offer 100 discount if i buy the 999 because is bigger. The first chair was very well respond because i bought from the website , the tracking was sent to my email,

But the second chair , i bank in to them and facebook PM , so i ask for the tracking number after i make the payment their said they will once they ship it, after 3 day they didnt. i ask for it again they said later night which they didnt

give me again, and eventually the chair reach my house and i wasnt at home, so i had to trouble my neighbor to help me move REALLY heavy stuff.

TLDR
Sorry for the rant I'm just frustrating, here's the
pros:
-Sturdy frame
-4D armrest does provide a lot of adjustment
-Wheels are nice too, easy to maneuver

Cons:
-the seating and lumbar foam will become less dense real fast depend the amount of time you seat and weight.
-shaky armrest after awhile
-weird position headrest and cannot adjust.
-leather does stretched if you are heavy weight or laid back alot.

Crystal clear 2K Quad HD+ (2560x1600P) video quality! Yes, that’s what you will get from Viofo A119 V3 Dashcam. All thanks to Sony STARVIS IMX335 5MP Sensor and F1.6 aperture 7 elements glass lens. FYI, GPS logger and advanced parking mode are supported too. How does it perform compare to 70mai Dash Cam, Xiaomi Mijia 1S and 70mai Pro? Watch this video review to find out…

Tronsmart WD2T USB PD Wall Charger, Type-C Charging w/VoltiQ

Lets talk about Chargers

You can never get enough of them...

And they're never around enough to keep that anxiety called 'Low Power' signal on your phone at bay bangwall.gif

Sure, the current phones comes with fast-charging function but they only come in ones don't they? Buying another costs a bomb and you're not even sure if you'd stick to that brand in a years time.

So I decided to opt for a so called 'non-branded' charger instead.

Enter Tronsmart 48W USB Wall Charger w/30W Type-C Power Charger, but don't let that fool you into thinking this is just another charger. Here's my review after about a month of testing

First, some specs to get you geeking

USB PD Type-C 48W Charger
1x USB-C Power Delivery port output - 30W (5V/3A, 9V/3A, 15V/2A), charges your typical MacBook (2016 model) at full speed
1x USB A port(Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 with VoltiQ technology) w/output 18W max

Qualcomm Quick Charge circuit and VoltiQ circuit inside to identify the power level required for charging each connected, making it the best choice for Qualcomm Quick Charge devices like LG G5 and non-Quick Charge devices like iPhone.

Compatibility
USB-C port is compatible with all USB-C devices supporting the USB PD Power Standard, such as the MacBook (2016 Model), iPad Pro, Nexus 5X, Nexus 6P, Lumia950XL, Meizu Pro5,Google Pixel/Pixel XL, iPhone 8, iPhone X and many others.

user posted image
clean look to the front of the ports with sufficient spacing to allow for easy removal of cables

user posted image
any powerful charger wouldn't work to its potential if you do not provide quality cables. Pictured here is the USB Lightning Cable, a 2M braided Tronsmart cable that came with a cable management tie too

user posted image
2M long cable to get you that extra bit of range to be on your mobile while it still charges

Whilst power output which I measured using Ampere app available via Playstore/iOS showed consistent outputs the real kicker comes in if you're using Qualcomm based devices. When paired with compatible devices, a Quick Charge-enabled charger delivers more power, allowing the connected device to charge faster. If your smartphone is Quick Charge 3.0-compatible, you can charge up to 80% in just 35 minutes. I was able to time the charging levels and it performed more or less around the time it said it would.

As with many smart chargers of this range, improved charging efficiency meant that your phone battery does not overheat and decreased no-load power consumption means you save energy too.

user posted image
Fitted in with cables

user posted image
As always minimalist neat packaging as I've come to expect from Tronsmart thumbup.gif

Verdict?

Pros
- Neat and minimalist
- Faster charging with smart design of spacing for easy cable management
- Does what it says, I was able to charge 0-60 on an Iphone 8 circa 28 minutes
- comes with 3-Pin plug and can also be used when oversea (if you're in the US/Thailand)

Cons
- Size may be a matter of preference but I'd take a flat charger anyday
- Lack of Type-C to Type-C cables in the market currently

Overall this has been one of the more powerful chargers I've reviewed. It's no frills meant that it can be depended upon to get your battery juices up in a short time.

Lazada currently has this on promo (While stocks last). Click on the link below

Final thoughts
It’s the F800 Pro upgraded with 1440p resolution for the front cam. The Q800 Pro’s 1440p definitely looks clearer & sharper than the F800 Pro’s 1080p. Hopefully, the image quality will be improved further in the future firmware.

Still the best in the industry true parking mode, the accurate ADAS, and Safety Camera Alert.

Should you upgrade your F800 Pro to the Q800 Pro? Don't think I recommend upgrading to Q800 Pro. Unless you got extra cash, why not?

But if you’re deciding whether to get the Q800 Pro or the F800 Pro. Get the Q800 Pro if your budget allows.

Also, consider getting a bigger micro SD card as the 64GB I’m using can keep about 3 days of videos for both channels as the Q800 Pro’s 1-minute video files have increased to 150MB from 100MB.

AORUS 15 Review, High Quality Thin Bezel Gaming NB

Recent years many laptop brands came out more and more gaming notebook in the red sea market,
The GIGABYTE gaming laptops is rare to see in the market before.
But these 2 years they start to have more products for gaming style design
With the positive market competitions, the gaming laptops become much better on design and price range.

GIGABYTE got its own gaming brand AORUS with gaming laptops,
AORUS series is simple, only got AORUS 15, AORUS 5,7 series in 2019
This simple way might make lower awareness in the market.
user posted image

Let?s get back to the AORUS 15; A cover used metallic design,
Black matted coating with high quality. Looks might be a bit of finger print on it.
Most of the current matted metal coating notebook chassis had this status.
AORUS designed their Eagle shape logo with lines on both side to create speedy style.
The Logo and lines will have white lighting when notebook boot up, it will be more fancy if comes with RGB lights.
user posted image

I tested around 2225g, it?s a bit lighter than their formal data.
A side and back side heat exhaust sink holes, looks similar as HP Pavilion Gaming 15.
Many high level gaming notebook had this kind of design, but AORUS 15 is most outstanding as my user experience.
user posted image

Open the AORUS 15, B and C side design
The hinge design closer to the middle on both left and right side, the biggest open angle around 130 degree,
because the chassis assembling quality is solid, so it didn?t easily shake when open up the screen.
user posted image

B side designed with thin bezel frame that thin gaming notebook often used since 2018
The AORUS 15 with 6mm thin bezel on 3 sides.
Webcam still on the top side, is more convenient and outstanding.
15.6? matted display with IPS panel, with Full HD resolution and 144Hz refresh rate.
HD Webcam, work with face tracing function, it?s smooth but image quality could be improved.
user posted image

C side use matted aluminum metallic chassis besides of keyboard. This part is same as A side.
Designed with membrane full color backlit keyboard, support RGB Fusion technology.
Although the thin membrane keyboard is easy to be soft, but this one is good on feedback.
There are branding stickers aside the touchpad, if the sticker is too big will impact the beauty of the ID design, recommend to make it smaller and simplified, or put it under D side is also a way.
user posted image

Touchpad used larger surface design, looks wider on left and right side.
This makes more convenient using experience, the pointing is very accurate when moving.
In my personal experience, high accuracy touchpad appeared on higher price products mostly.
The power button with white light when boot up, the left and right side aside the corner have LED project lights for gaming ambience.
user posted image

On top of C side is power button, it?s same icon as A side image.
Align the button it designed with cooling holes with special shapes to give it streamline style.
On the upper right side of keyboard key with fan icon, used Fn+Fan key to adjust fan speed.
user posted image

Left side IO
From left, heat exhaust / RJ-45 LAN port / USB3.1 (Super Charge) / Micro SD reader
Storage light / Power light. The heat exhaust hole design is really good looking and quality.
user posted image

Right side IO
From left, headset port / 2x USB 3.1 / heat exhaust
The USB 3.1 all Gen1 Type-A format
This machine of cooling system used dual 7cm high speed fan, 6 heatpipes, 9 in & out airflow exhausts, it should have very good present on cooling power.
The analysis is coming soon.

HUBSAN ZINO H117s 4K UHD foldable drone

If you can't fork out money for a real 4K HD drone or DJI MAVIC flagship worry not because another famous company released their competitive 4K UHD drone and sent over to me to test out some cool feature and publish my honest review about. This is no BS toys or gadget and from a famous well known established company called HUBSAN; all flight feature, automation, 4K camera quality, stabilization and portability built into this drone are for real made into amazing yet affordable drone without taking loans to buy your first aerial photo/videography drone. Just under rm$1300 this is a must have for any drone enthusiast on the budget without cutting corner on quality, capability and flight experience...best of all even noobs can fly it.

I've already flown it for many weeks now testing all aspect of its features, video quality, failsafe, automatic flight like waypoint, point of interest, follow-me, visual tracking (focus) and (...yada ..yada....just to much stuff to explore in ZINO) etc i must say this is definitely 'THE' perfect HOBBY CLASS drone if i wanted to shoot cool videos over landscape, above property and other beautiful places in 4K. If you're new to drone scene and looking for your first drone to join true aerial video making hobby then this is the one....the apps supported on iOS and Android make its easy for beginner to understand how to operate it so its noob proof. There's no way you could make a flight error and cause it to fly away unless you break the rules or warning on the screen. Not only the price is tempting but the size also make it so portable to just put in the pouch and go.

Tronsmart Element T6 Plus Bluetooth Speaker, Great Bass, even Better

This is yet another review of yet another Tronsmart Product. Don't say I didn't warn you.
user posted image

The Element T6 Plus is one a kind and it appeals to the 'practical' in me. A Bluetooth 5.0 Wireless speaker with Water-Resistant and an in-built powerbank is yet another reason why I keep coming back to Tronsmart products. FYI I've done a similar review of the Element Wireless Speaker family previously.

You can compare the Tronsmart Element Mega BT Speaker here.

Let's geek it out for a bit (click on the image for better quality)

user posted image
neatly packaged unit. The T6 comes in 2 variants - Red & Black)

Okay, but what's so great about it you ask?

For starters, it offers a range of input options with the usual suspects of Aux-In, a TF/Micro SD card, a USB slot to input your flash drive/use as a Powerbank. It's equipped with a Type-C slot which means faster charging time (5 Hours).

user posted image

And then there's the Multi-Functional Control Wheel atop the Speaker. You control the volume using a simple rotating wheel (Analog!). Press to play & pause music, or make hands-free phone calls. Hold for 3 seconds to activate the voice assistant. Extra street-cred points also when your party friends compliment you on it too nod.gif

Mesh shaped finish with a glossy silver underneath gives it a premium look and feel

user posted image
what's in the box. You're pretty much set from the get-go

Verdict?

The T6 comes preset with 3 different options to choose from - Vocal, 3D Deep Bass & Extra Bass. Whilst I keep going back to using
the first two I noticed a little distortion whilst playing rap musics when used with Extra Bass. That said the bass is powerful and you literally feel its vibration especially when watching a movie e.g. explosive or action scenes

It boasts up to 15 hours of play time, of which on my first full charge I was able to get ard 10 hours + 40% charge on my OnePlus 5T (with a consistent charging rate of 1200-1300mah) whilst on 2nd charge I averaged between 14-16 hours so it largely depends on usage types. Otherwise the long battery life meant that its hassle-free. The battery power is said to be able to hold up to 24 months blink.gif

user posted image
Tronsmart offers 12 months local manufacturer warranty, you can also extend an additional 6 months by registering them online

Overall I encountered very little fuss on the BT Speaker. You can easily pair any devices and the BT 5.0 means your range can be longer. I really enjoyed toying around with the Analog control wheel. Overall look and feel of the product feels premium on hand and gives off a sturdy look.

The water-resistant feature means that I can enjoy using them often in public areas/setting with peace of mind.

Palm sized Pad with Cable Management design. Pretty nifty.

Its designed with convenience in mind, a cable organizer to keep the clutter at bay. The charging cable is 1 meter long with detachable silicone case to make charging more stable and prevents any scratching on your devices.

Side view, the cable management function comes real handy when storing and moving around.

Having used them for almost 3 weeks of daily use I found the product does what it promotes itself, a no nonsense wireless charging pad with consistent power output (up to 1350mAh measured using Ampere). It is also inexpensive and given its price point I'd be happy to recommend them for any mobile users who owns a Samsung or an iPhone (its compatible for use with other models if it has Qi Wireless Charging capability)

Charging is a breeze and works even when you have a casing on too (up to 3mm).

Verdict?

- Value for money, for a product <RM 50 this is a no brainer
- Sturdy feel with Silicone case for easy cable management
- Does what it says, it comes with 6 months warranty for ease of mind

manfacturer warranty vs supplier warranty, Please, don't bubuh google ingo here

Hye everyone, before proceeding to ask what i don't understand, pls do note i already understand what manfctrr vs supplier wrrnty, from Google in general.
BUT, here in Malaysia, it is very confusing.
So, hopefully, please read first and explain to me. Thanks.

So, lets DICUSS NICEly.

*i'm talking abt pc components, GPU to be specific.
*anyone that wants to be harsh, vulgar, "which cave u live" type, please, u can just stay away.
*I personally had experience of RMAing AMD cpu(used 1). AMD RMA through reseller - i issued warranty straight from AMD website.

What i understand is, local Manufacturer warranty is directly by the company producing the card.
Supplier means, the seller, and ,since, they don't produce the card, they may simply replace another card(which may, mostly be not new) or, IF no stock, refund(this is , basically their wish), if they give u 10% of the items price, no choice.

But that seem not be the case, here are my experience, from L*l*** and *az**a.

1) Bought an Sapphire RX 570. B4 buying, seller says, NEW, local manufacturer warranty.

BUt, item came, box not even fully sealed, pci lane got marks dy, pcb is even slightly bent(very slight but NOT NEW).
I explained to seller, he said got it directly from Sapphire, but later he also said, "could be factory refurb"(don't knw such thing exist legit in M'sia). He even showed his conversation from his supplier, "see customer complaint" .

In the end, he was good, refunded the card - though i have to pay the return post.

*all in all, at same time, i have been chatting with Sapphire. Put in short: The card warranty is fully by seller ONLY - same goes with the warranty duration - something unheard for(for manufacturer warranty). So, the seller can easily abuse us ? no legit and clear warranty term by Sapphire but fully depend on seller ?
*that why you can see, NEWEGG: all sapphire card have 2years, but here in Malaysia, gt 3 years, got 1 year .
Key is, find Sapphire Authorised reseller in Malaysia, which is still - gt 3 years warrnty = supplier warranty.

2)This time i wanna buy Gigabyte Rx 570. Checked from a seller, this 1 direct, said the card have both warranty, and new and all.
But, i checked directly from Gigabyte, for Malaysia, it is EOL. So, full of supplier warranty, which is fully dependant on stock availability.
YET, some still sells the card, with term manufacturer warranty.

3)Finally, bought an Msi Rx 570. This time Authorized seller(can register at Msi website). It is fully new with default warranty. Seller was great with packaging.
BUT, item got defect(i don't knw my luck). I asked MSI first, cause the seller say, the kind of defect i had is MSI responsibility.
then, MSI says this: "this kind of issue must dealt by seller". "in Malaysia, warranty is provided fully by seller only".
And the seller give me hard time for refund, though during the process - they also can't install/fit to prove me it's not a defect.
So, WTH is local manufacturer warranty ? Why don't just deal directly with MSI ?
How are we protected by this "local manufacturer and supplier warranty" ?

*Keep in my mind, all the cards im looking at is not the cheap cards, but AMD set price range.

SO HOW WE KNOW IT IS REALLY MANUFACTURER WARRANTY OR SUPPLIER WARRANTY ?
*SINCE COMPANIES HARDLY GIVE UPDATED LIST AUTHORIZED SELLERS.

For now, LING LONG, A-SASHI, and few other seems safe and promising.

MSI GE75 Review, High performance 17'' Gaming Laptop

With the new graphics card and CPU being launched, there will be more laptop with the newest CPU and GPU to be popped up.
MSI has launched a bunch of models which are equipped with the new graphics card. Among them, slightly heavier than GS75 Stealth
is the new MSI GE75 Raider. The GE75 Raider is one of MSI's overhauls of the notebook series, which is equipped with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX graphics card.

With MSI as a gaming laptop / equipment provider in the market for a long time, MSI provide a variety of laptop lineup from entry to high-end and the GE75 Raider
are placed as one of the high-end performance laptop in their entire lineup, 2nd to MSI GT series.

Powered with the 144Hz thin bezel, IPS-level (a TN panel with the quality of an IPS) with 100sRGB color which provide
mesmerizing image color and viewing sensation

user posted image

The GE75 Raider build with good quality metallic cover with black matted coating that make the laptop body itself much more sturdy.
Aside the finger print stick all over the place I touch, overall the build quality is surprisingly sturdy comparing to MSI older model.
The cover have 2 red spine looking design that looks cool and it does help to protect the monitor when you flip it over.

user posted image

Why i said the build quality is much better than MSI's older model, and the major reason is the hinge quality.
In the past, MSI's laptop hinge are their weak point despite having the performance, but from the look of it at
this current GE75, the hinge part is much more sturdier than the older GE72 I have.

user posted image

Beside the hinge, the body (keyboard part) also become more sturdier.
Slightly inverted design on the keyboard area make it easier to type and more comfortable during usage
user posted image

Although the touchpad size have not been change comparing to the older raider model, but it have added red stripe design making
it look more variant. Nevertheless, the pin point accuracy is high and it is less annoying which will not constantly left or right clicking
while using the touchpad

Speaking about the fan / ventilation, aside from the left and right side of the laptop, the fan ventilation also extend at the back of the laptop, which means this
laptop have 2 fan, 4 ventilation area. Which tested with benchmark, the temperature also remain low

Graphics : GeForce® RTX 2070 8GB GDDR6

Memory : 16 GB SO-DIMM DDR4-2666

Although it is a 8th gen processor, the benchmark score is not low at all.

Hardware installation went without trouble, so was Windows 10. Downloaded the motherboard drivers off of MSI website and claimed a free AIO cooler (still delivering). Went with x570 chipset for PCIe 4.0 so that it could last at least 3 years before upgrade - another thing I told my wife.
